We work diligently to make sure all employees understand our vision, and safety has been #1 above all else at Commonwealth since our founding. We make sure all prospective employees go through an extensive background screening before being hired. All drivers must also pass pre-employment drug testing, and submit a complete driving history to be considered for employment. As part of their new hire training, all drivers must complete a comprehensive Defensive Driver Course, and be re-certified annually for this program.
Commonwealth Worldwide also employs Netradyne’s Driveri® system, which provides us with a comprehensive view of drivers’ activity through a blend of real-time positive driving notifications and best practice identification. We get notifications whenever one of our vehicles goes over the speed limit or under the speed minimum by a certain amount. We are also notified of any sudden braking or swerving. Video is recorded whenever a notification is created. We use this a tool to provide positive reinforcement for drivers, and constructive feedback about risky driving behavior – engaging drivers in balanced interactions that promote productive and collaborative relationships. This helps us to ensure all our clients receive the highest level of service and safety, rivaling that of worldwide leaders.
