Terms & Conditions

BILLING

  • Commonwealth Worldwide executive drivers are prohibited from soliciting tips/gratuities.
  • Additional charges will be itemized on the customer’s billing statement when applicable (e.g. tolls, parking, airport and regulatory fees, fuel charge, cell phone, requested items, tax/VAT, etc.).
  • All published rates are subject to change without notice.
  • All rates are calculated in the local currency and billed in U.S. dollars at the prevailing exchange rate.
  • Due to fluctuating currency exchange rates, U.S. dollar equivalents of international rates may vary.
  • Applicable taxes will be charged as required.
  • Holiday surcharges may apply on trips occurring on recognized holidays in the market the transportation is taking place.
  • Late-night/early-morning surcharge of $20.00 applies to all pick-ups scheduled between 23:00 and 04:59 in the timezone the reservation is taking place.

FLAT-RATE RIDES

  • Commonwealth Worldwide has standardized transfer rates that provide flat rate pricing for travel to and from most major cities and airports.
  • Waiting time is defined as the length of time that elapses between a scheduled pickup and a passenger getting into the reserved vehicle. After a five (5) minute grace period on all flat-rate trips that do not begin at an airport, there is a $10.00 charge for every five (5) minutes an executive driver is waiting.
  • For rides that begin at an airport, there is a $10.00 charge for every five (5) minutes of waiting time after a thirty (30) minute grace period for domestic arrivals and forty-five (45) minute grace period for international arrivals.
  • Passenger-requested stops on route during a flat-rate trip will be charged at $35.00 for Sedans, $50.00 for all other vehicles.
  • Passenger-requested stops off route during a flat-rate trip will be charged the prevailing hourly rate.

TIME-BASED RIDES

  • Rates for travel between locations in which a point-to-point rate does not exist will be billed at the prevailing Commonwealth Worldwide hourly rate.
  • Customers are billed from the time the vehicle leaves the Commonwealth Worldwide facility until the time it returns to the Commonwealth Worldwide facility, with an hourly minimum based on vehicle type.
  • Time-based charges are billed in 15-minute increments
  • Rides between locations to which a flat-rate does not apply will be billed at the prevailing vehicle hourly rate.

CHANGE, CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICY

PLEASE NOTE:   Certain US Markets (including but not limited to the markets of Martha’s Vineyard, Hamptons, Vail, as examples) will have different cancellation policies.  Seasonal markets, Market conditions, Special Events (i.e. Super Bowl), and specialty vehicles (i.e. Buses) will have a longer advance cancellation notice. All modifications communicated and confirmed at the time of reservation or in advance of the pick-up date, either verbally or in writing, will supersede the below standard cancellation policy. To avoid late cancellation charges, please confirm the specific cancellation policy for your trip at time of booking.

 

Standard Change, Cancellation and No-Show Policy:

- Cancellation charges equal to the total cost of the trip, or the vehicle minimum price of the trip, whichever is greater, plus all additional applicable fees, will apply unless: 

Markets within the contiguous United States:

- All airport transfer services in a Standard Sedan or Sports Utility Vehicle are changed or cancelled more than two (2) hours, prior to scheduled pickup time, in the time zone the reservation is taking place.  An Airport Transfer service is defined as a ride that goes between an airport and downtown, point A to Point B with no stops, with an established flat transfer rate.

    - All Standard Sedan or Sports Utility Vehicle reservations that are not an Airport Service as defined above, including but not limited to all hourly trips, as-directed trips, and roadshows are changed or cancelled more than eight (8) hours, prior to scheduled pickup time, in the time zone the reservation is taking place.

     - Premium Sedans, Premium SUVs and Vans are changed or cancelled more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to scheduled pickup time, in the time zone the reservation is taking place. 

    - Coordinators are changed or cancelled more than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time, in the time zone the reservation is taking place.

    - Minibus and Motor coaches are changed or cancelled more than seventy-two (72) hours prior to scheduled pick up time, in the time zone the reservation is taking place.

    In all markets located outside the contiguous United States:

    - Sedans and  Sports Utility Vehicles, are changed or cancelled more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled pickup time, in the time zone the reservation is taking place.

    - Premium Sedans, Premium SUVS, Vans and Coordinators are changed or cancelled more than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time, in the time zone the reservation is taking place.

    - Minibus and Motor coaches are changed or cancelled more than ninety-six (96) hours prior to scheduled pick up time, in the time zone the reservation is taking place.

    - For flat-rate transfers, a no-show charge equal to the total cost of the trip, plus any applicable waiting time fee, plus all other applicable fees, will be charged when the passenger(s) fails to arrive at the designated location, or fails to call Commonwealth if having difficulty finding their executive driver. To avoid a no-show fee, call 800-558-5466 or +1-617-779-4600 if you cannot locate your vehicle or executive driver.

    - For time-based reservations, a no-show charge equal to the total cost of the trip as booked, or the vehicle minimum price of the trip, whichever is greater, plus all other applicable fees, will be charged when the passenger(s) fails to arrive at the designated location, or fails to call Commonwealth if having difficulty finding their executive driver. To avoid a no-show fee, call 800-558-5466 or +1-617-779-4600 if you cannot locate your vehicle or executive driver.

    Again, the above change, cancellation and no-show terms represent the standard policy at Commonwealth Worldwide and may be modified from time to time based on market, desired reservation dates, and vehicle availability. All modifications communicated and confirmed at the time of reservation or in advance of the pick-up date, either verbally or in writing, will supersede the above standard cancellation policy. To avoid late cancellation charges, please confirm the specific cancellation policy for your trip at time of booking.

    ADDITIONAL

    • Quotes will be provided upon request. All quotes provided are to be considered as estimates only, and actual charges will be determined upon the completion of the service.
    • In no event will Commonwealth Worldwide or its affiliate partners, be liable or responsible for damages of any kind caused by any delay in performance or failure to perform, caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to, weather, natural disaster, traffic, act of God, act of war or terrorism, act of any public authority or sovereign government, or any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control.
    • Commonwealth Worldwide and its affiliate partners assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged baggage, personal belongings or any items left in the vehicle.
    • Commonwealth Worldwide does provide child safety seats, for a $50.00 fee. Parents and guardians of children traveling in Commonwealth Worldwide vehicles are responsible for installing child safety seats provided, in accordance with state and federal laws.   
    • The following items are prohibited from Commonwealth Worldwide vehicles: alcoholic beverages, glass containers, smoking, firearms, weapons of any kind, explosives, and fireworks.
